Bringing it all together
This blog series outlines the design process we took to create the ROHO brand. Inspiration, ideas and decisions made to reach our final brand features. We hope this will give you a deeper understanding of the ROHO brand identity, and also help and inspire anyone who is working on their own design projects.
When you find your identifying features it actually becomes easier to make decisions of how everything should come together into the final piece. The specific feature of ROHO’s identity that has influenced many of our design decisions is that everything we produce is made by hand. We, therefore, felt like incorporating simple and hand-crafted materials and methods into our design resonates with one of our principal identifiable characteristics.
One choice we felt was important to make was t0 use our own agave waste to produce sheets of paper for our bottle would give a textured feel but also resonate with our hand-crafted identity.
To give the bottle label another touch of handmade character we decided that we will use block printing with a custom-made stamp to print the label onto our agave paper
Our premium bottles are made individually by the talented handblown glass makers at Kitengela Hot Glass.
The traditional use of sisal is to produce fibres. We incorperated this into our packaging
